I have LOVED Lauren's Bright Summer Days kit from the moment I first saw it! I usually don't do the bright and bold thing, but this kit was SO FUN to work with! (So much so that I have already created SEVERAL layouts with it which will be posted after the DET contest). I especially LOVED the doodley frame (can't you tell?) and think that is the show stopping peice of this kit!

Her Tiddlywink Alpha goes PERFECTLY with this kit! I never thought about matching an alpha to a kit before, but I will from now on! I loved the diversity of how this alpha could be used (keep the luminosity or change the colors, or have color AND luminosity) this alpha would be GREAT for ANY kit just because of the diversity of the alpha alone!

Secrets Revealed:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the frame in this kit. First, I took the frame and filled the inner part with black to create a "die cut" of sorts and then used a clipping mask with the picture on top to make the picture look like it had been cut to follow the same lines. Then I took the frame and used it again, this time not filling it, and using the cool orange background provided in the kit for the "fill" in the frame. Then I tilted it slightly.
I recolored the yellow flower paper to pink, first, because pink goes so well with the colors in this kit, and second because I wanted pink for the GIRL part of this layout.
I also extended the ricrack to fit diagonally across the page.

I placed a yellow circle behind each alpha (here is where the wonderful diversity of the alpha comes into play).

The "poem" is from something my husband wrote for our daughter. He writes beautiful poetry and songs.
