I made the mat under the journaling in an attempt to mimic the color of the mat his feet are on - it still needs some work. Journaling reads:When we went to The Ozarks, we almost always stayed at the Howard Johnson! As children, we couldn’t wait to get checked in so we could race to “the island” in the pool. Who knew that a concrete circle could provide so many years of imagination and fun? This is a picture of Papa Pete sitting on our island - looking very cool! Judging by how relaxed he looks, I am assuming this photo must have been taken before he was paying for all of us grandkids to spend the weekend fighting over who got to be on the island first!
