Title: A Little Bit Country and a Little Bit Rock -n- Roll!

Photo Detail: This is a photo that my Mom took of me.

Journaling: Sept 23, 2006 When I was younger all my Mom would let me listen to was Christian music, which was fine with me until I got into the 6th grade and music became more important. It was important what you listened to. It was a time when it became cool to listen to the radio for hours at a time and sit in your room talking on the phone. Well while I was listening to Kim Boyce, Amy Grant, and Michael W. Smith. Most of my friends were listening to what was then considered the coolest radio station. W95! I remember the Beastie Boys, Tone Loc, and Vanilla Ice where up there as some of the best. I remember specifically that ‘Fight for Your Right to Party’ was the coolest thing ever. I however obeyed my parents and listened to Christian music until I turned 16. At the ripe old age of 16 and the new experience of being allowed to drive alone and with out parents I started to explore the music scene more. I fell in love with pop music. Boys to Men quickly became one of my favorites. Over time my favorites have changed and in the last two years drastically. I finally have given up my bubble gum pop groups and turned to country. This was something I had always declared I would never ever do. Now I prefer it. I love Garth, and Reba. Kenny is one of my favorites along with Toby, Tim, and Faith. Yep this pop loving girl has gone country and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I guess you could say I have become a red neck woman!

Helpful Hint: If you want to make your text look stamped like I have done here on the leather piece. Just add a tiny white shadow to the left on your text. Then do the right side with a dark shadow just like you would normally do! Remember just a TINY white shadow you don't want to hardly notice its even there!! I Hope that was helpful!! Try it...it works!

Great tip on how to the text because, Steph, that ROCKS!!

Love the journaling!
And as I love pop, country, rock, punk, and just about everything in between, it's fun to think about how our tastes have changed!

OMG! I was SOOOOO wondering how you did that! THANKS SO MUCH! This layout is wonderful but once I read your journaling it moved into "stellar". Wow. I feel like I know another piece of YOU with this.
Heavy Metal will always be my favorite, despite my Troggs avatar, (hey, they tried it for one song!) but I have to admit I've seen Kenny in concert. Still, I "fight, for the right, to Par....tay!" And Tone Loc is a hoot, complete entertainment!
Thank you so much for making my little kit really MEAN something, to you and to me!

Terrific layout, love your journalling, it is awesome and love the stamped leather patch, very clever. I must admit to being a metal head too!
