I decided to go with only animals. I started by cropping the photos. I made the background. I started with a piece of the giraffe photo and enlarged it to fill the background. I changed the blend mode to difference and used a hue/saturation adjustment layer. Then I made a brush from the giraffe's spots and put those on another layer. I used animal tracks brushes from Obsidian Dawn.

I ran filters on the frame and the layers behind the photos.

Very cool background. Love pawprints. I love the title. Great use of the photos.

I like your choice of background and colours. Nice title and double framing of the photos.

I really like how you have done the background for this and I like the contrast of colours. Very nice example of a grid style layout. I am not sure that the red colour works as well for the title as it does for the mats - red on green is quite hard on the eyes even when it is softer hues like these. Maybe try picking out the darker colour that you have used on your border and see how that works with the title? I am also wondering if, considering your title is "Who's who etc" whether you wanted to try labelling your photos - maybe with strips at various angles?? Just a thought. If you don't know the names, just make them up

Excellent designing - love everything you made! My only suggestion would be to change the alignment of the journalling to something other than centre - us graduates from Stacey's journalling class abhor centre alignment... Maybe you could even fiddle with the kerning to make all the lines of equal length?

One of the important things with grid layouts is to make sure your spacing and size is very equal - your turtle photo and mat are slightly different to the one on the right of it . I dont have a problem with the colours but I would probably enlarge all the photos just a bit and make them slightly closer together to give the page more unity and to give the photos the focus

i love that background!!! I like the colors also ... to me it is unexpected, so it pops, but muted enough not to be glaring.... You know, what if you tried put the red mat under all the photos - that would link them - and still make them a bit bigger so there isn't a LOT of the red mat there .... don't know if that would work or not, just a thought...
