At first because I wanted to scan and repair old family photos...



And then it was a way to bond with my mother and sisters...



And then I realized the power of capturing my parents and siblings’ memories and adding them to the photos...



And then I discovered if beautifully presented people were more interested in those photos and stories...



And then I discovered that I remembered more of my childhood by working on these old photos and journaling...



And remembered more of my life when I scrapped daily activities, vacations, weddings and other events...



And then I was sick at home for a long time and discovered a wonderful on-line community of supportive, artistic scrappers at digitalscrapbookplace.com...



And then I discovered that the tools and techniques I was learning greatly enhanced and complemented my photography...



and I scrap because I don’t have children and this is a legacy I can leave to my family...



And I scrap for me because it’s artistic and it’s FUN!
