It is just a teddy...small, soft and silent, but it is so much more. Somehow, somewhere, sometime, Abagael stubbed her big toe. It was so infected that mommy wrapped Abby up and took her all the way to Chelsea Hospital. The Doctor came into the waiting room and offered Abby this special soft teddy. Immediately bear and little girl bonded. Through the next frightening hour the bear kept comforting her through cleaning and numbing of the toe. Mommy held the sniffling child and soft teddy until the procedure was finished and the whole foot was wrapped. In the week since, teddy and child have not separated. It looks like a lifetime friendship made in the hospital. The teddy’s name? Chelsea, of course!
