Each August, when I hear the cicadas singing outside at night, it’s like Black River is calling me, telling me it’s time. I’ve been going to the Black River every year with my family since I was 11, and it’s in my blood. It’s one week out of the year with no phone, no TV and nothing to do but play and relax. It’s a little slice o’heaven.
