This is a photo of a friend's five year old son - so excited over his catch of the day on his new pole!

This photo needed a bright, colorful kit - and Lauren's Rainbow's End Page Kit was just the one to really make the whole layout POP! The colorful elements are brilliant against the grungy, dark backgrounds. And this title from Tina's Joy Radiates Word Art fit the theme of this layout and was a perfect fit!

For this layout, I started with the spotted rainbow paper on the bottom, then layered the rustic black on it for my background.

I used the teal corrugated background paper to make a rectangular mat and the retroplanet background paper to create a circle shaped mat to go under the photo.

The fish was an integral part of this photo - it's why the photo was taken - so I placed it in the "hot spot" of the page. I then used one of the wire parentheses elements to focus the eye on Henry's happy face as it is the theme of the page. I used two of the ribbon frames at different angles to frame the photo, and a trio of button elements to anchor it.

I used the rainbow element in the lower left corner, the spotted ring element in the upper right (positioned partially under the photo) and the stitched box element in the upper left, creating triangular positioning of the elements for balance in the layout.

I filled the word art title with the spotted rainbow paper, then positioned it over the stitched boxes, and used a second wire parentheses element positioned to emphasize the title. This created a link between the title and the happy face in the photo with the use of both wire parentheses elements.

I slipped the journaling tab under the photo and added the date, and I placed additional journaling text on a curved path above and following along the curves of the rainbow, using the same font for both.
