I thought this was very appropriate to add this layout to Scrap Pink Call.

Log reads:

This is a difficult story.

My sister had breast cancer at age 30

She did fairly well for about three years.

Then things changed and the cancer invaded her body.

We took care of her at home.

Then she was unable to walk or talk.

It was necessary for hospitalization,.

We visited her everyday.

One day while visiting she suddenly talked.

What she said stunned us!

She said that God visited her.

He told her it was her time to die.

She said she would leave three young children.

"They will manage" he told her.

She said to be there next morning at 8:00am.

My sister died at exactly 8:00am.

She was only 33 years old!

That happened many years ago.

The three children are now adults and doing well.

your layout is so sad, and i know how much my sisters have meant to me as we have aged, so i know your loss has actually grown. but, there is so much hope in her death bed message, and i am glad you are scrapping this for yourself and for her children. what a wonderful story of real victory over mortality and the ravages of cancer. great job on this. Your sister was beautiful, and her story is very touching even beyond her years here.

A sad story and I'm sure it wasn't easy to write that. Your sister's story contains hope too though doesn't it? It's good to hear that her children are doing well these years later.

Thanks for sharing this story of your sister and what God instructed her to do. I am sure she was a peace after His visit.

Carti, I'm so sorry for your loss and I know that you miss your sister still. I also lost a sister to cancer at age 33 (tho not breast cancer) - that was 15 years ago and I miss her still. TFS.

Carti, your beautiful journaling brought me to tears. But, at the same time, how wonderful that she was able to tell you what God said and when you should be back at the hospital the next day. That must have brought you comfort and hope in the midst of your sadness, although I'm sure that you miss her still. (She surely was beautiful.) Thank you for sharing this.
