Here is a project that my students and I did a few years ago and it turned out wonderful!

Journaling reads:
One day we were just stuffed animals on a shelf. When poof, we were given to students who dressed us up and gave us a name. Then we were sent all around the world to travel as we were passed on to different people, who helped us send postcards home to the students. When they got our postcards, the students studied the places we had been, which was really exciting for the whole class. Sometimes our hosts would even take photos to send home. At the end of the school year, whoever we were visiting last would mail us back to the school. We were then donated to the local police department so we could help children who were in difficult situations.

What an awesome project! I've seen similar with paper bears or Flat Stanleys or gingerbread men, but never real stuffed animals. Cool idea and great lo!

What a wonderful layout Pat and a great project behind it.

I have to say though that I prefer to accompany the teddies, even if it is only as the hired help.

For those that wonder what that remark means you need to read Touring with the Travel Teddies.
