I think this is more what boobearsmama1 was after from her CCs on my first LO (oh, so long ago now!)

Journalling reads:

Wherever we go, you boys always manage to make it so much fun... we took you all out for a cultural visit to see the SS Great Britain at Bristol docks... and just look at what you all got up to!!! You larked about giving us and others so many laughs... and we all enjoyed learning about this really amazing ship designed by the talented Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We all had a great day out!

CREDITS:

DSP Welcome Pack by DSP designers - Filmstrips and lemon paisley paper (to cover filmstrip tabs);

Freebie BG paper from old world charm kit by Lisa Carter;

Freebie Tan swirls BG paper from mocha latte swirls kit by Valeri Brumfield;

Freebie staple (covering filmstrip staples) from the basics set by Valeri Brumfield.

DSP Pat (freebie font)

DSP Box (freebie font)

I thought I'd try one last LO with the ship photo!!! I tried enlarging it and removing the BG paper but I really didn't like it that way... it looked too messy!

I used the text (size and colours) that I preferred and I think most CCers preferred too! I duplicated it to make it clearer.

I managed to rotate the filmstrips... thanks to rosiego for trying to help me with that but I couldn't find the auto-select in PSP so I merged (eek!) all the pieces to rotate them together. Of course, I'd already cut the ends off hadn't I, so I had to slightly enlarge the filmstrips!!!

I changed the font of the title to 'Box' only and put it back in the lower left corner.

Thank you for looking

I'm a big fan of photos as bk, so I'm really partial to this style layout. I think you have nice balance here.. the photos are balanceed by the large photo and the journaling. Your photos are great and really tell a great story on their own, so the journaling really 'rounds' out the story.

IMHO, I think you can stick a fork in it... it's done.

Are you sure!!! LOL not going to change your mind! Lol I did like the title you did that looked like the ships name but if your not happy with it. I do like the journalling smaller and the shorter title is better. Its A great LO and is full of fun! I do love the ship in the background too!! well done ( esp with all the pc probs!)

I've looked at all nine in your gallery, and I definitely like this one the best. The photos in your filmstrip are interesting and clear. Your background blended photo gives your whole LO the feeling of seeing the ship up close, while the small photo shows it clearly, and your title is just perfect.
