Awesome shot - It is such a big step when you get the first blurry background (w/out doing it in Photoshop)

I remember the first time I took a photo with a blurry background (it's was an accident, but nevertheless) I was so proud. So congrats - this is a milestone for an aspiring photographer

Carolat, yes I agree. When I took the shot, I was immediately ecstatic. I was grinning from ear to ear saying "I did it!" I opened it in PSE5 to see how it looked and I was very pleased with the closeup shot.

I am so so so very glad, Chellie that you shared this. It's beautiful and yes, the rose is lovely but I am glad you learned how to do this 'blurry' thing. I know how it is with learning and the curve is steep in PS or PSE. Hugs.
