Journaling reads: Brenda -I can't remember my life without you in it! My fondest memories are with you! I remember playing in the sandbox together ... playing Barbies ...
playing Uncle Wiggley ... coloring for hours on end - digging through that big tin box (with Big Ben on the outside) to find just the right color. I remember
listening to our favorite songs on 45's together. Taking swimming lessons together, riding our bikes into town together, climbing the willow tree in your
back yard. I remember spending many summer nights sleeping in the camper in your driveway. Do you remember the Banana Split Club? Making pizza
from the box? Watching the Dating Game with your sisters? These are such sweet memories for me! We shared our hopes, dream, fears and secrets
with each other ... we've shared so many joys and tears together ... too many to count! I'm sure we drove our parents crazy with our shinanigans once we
got older! But gosh, did we have fun! I remember Halloween night in Pearl city ... homecoming dances ... being on the PomPon squad together. Driving back
and forth to school together - and "other' places we weren't supposed to! Who would have thought we would have moved into our first apartment together?
Started our first job the same day - at the same place!? time marches on and many many years have gone by. You have had your share of struggles
and dark moments, and I wasn't able to be there with you. For that I am sorry. I am grateful
those times were far and few between. We were both at different places in our lives, but
I always held you close in my heart. Once we met up again it was like it always was - It
was like we barely missed a beat. When Dad became ill, you stepped in and
helped out my entire family. I don't know what we'd have done without you!
I'm so thankful we continue to keep
in touch! I love the fact that we can strike up a conversation
just like we used to! That we can find things to laugh at and
that we have such sweet memories to share with each other!
I love you for who you are and I know just how lucky I am to have
you in my life ... I know we will be
