I have done a page of this before, but they were some of the first pages I ever scrapped. Hopefully I have improved my skills a tad since then, so am gradually doing new ones!

Fitting the words of the speech to the bouquet was a fiddly job indeed, despite CS's lovely text in a path features - much kerning had to be done!

The journaling in the bottom, right hand corner explains why I made this page -

For her wedding on 6th July, 2002, Kate arranged with the florist to make her bouquet up into separate pieces, each of which were given, in turn, to the most important ladies in her life, together with a tribute. This is her speech..

& I wanted to preserve the words & the beautiful memory.

I did not have any really nice photo of her making the speech, but it struck me that the words were the most important part. The whole speech is far too long to reproduce here, but because I’m so proud of it I will give you my tribute:



My mother, the lady that has been there right from day one, the lady that taught me to dream, the one that wove the magic that you see hear tonight, someone that lovingly nurtured us with delicious cookies, loving arms and life learned wisdom. This is my doctor that sat by me when I was sick, the chef that made countless bowls of macaroni cheese and the most delicious school lunches in the whole wide world. The saint that put up with me during my tantrum years, the teacher that took me through school and the mother that loved me. Happy Birthday Mum, and Thank You for everything.
