ummmm - this was definitely not a planned LO I was playing around with some artistic filters and then when adding a B&W gradient to just one portion I saw it affect the entire LO and was struck by the intense look it created. So I left it and then brought back in full color just Megan's beads she was stringing.

I actually didn't do a whole lot to this. I first had my photo fill the entire page. Then I applied a "photocopy" sketch filter, played a little with the settings. I added a B&W adj layer and played with the settings to get a lot of contrast to the filtered photo. Then with another copy of the photo, I clipped it to Lauren's brushed on frame mask so I would have an unaltered portion of the photo (played around with positioning to fit well in the frame mask). Then I placed a duplicate frame mask beneath the clipped frame mask for a more dramatic look. Pulled in Nicole's wordart and splatter stamps (recolored white). Then I added a gradient map (black, white) to my entire LO and then used the mask to bring back the beads in full color. Added a word the wordart to personalize it and a name/date to finish off my LO. LOL typing this out made it seem like it was alot of work but it truly wasn't.
