Posts: 24,001 send this user a Private Message	*Published in the Aug 2011 issue of Scrapstreet Magazine* This is a photo of my mom taken while my dad was away fighting in WWII. She sent this photo to him and on the back of it she had written "This was taken out in front of the house. I have my hand on one of my best friends, my mailbox." I guess she lived for those letters from Daddy. I feel so blessed to get to see a glimpse of the intense love they shared in those early days of their marriage when they were separated by the war. I can hardly read the backs of some of the photos without feeling the need to cry. I can not imagine what they went through during that time. Is there a way to scan the back of the photo, to get her handwriting of the note?

Oh my...I can not imagine what they went through being separated by a war. And I can imagine she did treasure each and every letter she got. You have scrapped this so beautifully. I love everything about this...from the layering of the papers to how you used the elements. Fantastic page!

What a touching story I am so glad that you preserved it in a LO for your children and grandchildren I loved the LO and how you arranged the photo and elements
