I know this was really for last month's challenge, but this seems the best place for it!

I had to try out Erica’s tutorial on how to make an overlay from a photograph. I don’t think I’ve got it quite yet, however, I did make a neat one from a tree photograph--you can see the branches coming out from around the photo. Of course I had to play with it--and it wasn’t easy, because I like it on its own, and found it hard to come up with something that would work with it. This photo reminds me of a place in Bloomington, Indiana, where some of my happiest childhood days were spent.

Journaling: Postcard Memories that last forever. There are places that I remember from my childhood, and I know that if I were to revisit them now as an adult, they would lose their magic. That’s why I prefer to hold those special scenes and locations deep in my memory, only to be recovered in the safety of my dreams.

It's tough when I have places to go and people to see and layouts to upload and you totally pull me off track by uploading such an incredible layout. It means that I have to open it up and admire it and make comments on it. Please try not to be so fabulous in the future!!

This is the kind of page that makes you stop and think. You really struck a chord with this one, scamp. The photo tone is gorgeous and the message is poignant. All in all, this is a LO that I will come back again to look at and absorb.
