While in Annapolis a little over a week ago, we stopped at a small National Cemetery that we'd driven by numerous times before. It had many graves of unknown soldiers and many stones had only a name and a number for those who had been buried at sea or for whom remains had never been recovered. The cemetery was established in 1862 by Lincoln, had gently rolling hills, magnificent trees and a gorgeous old, mossy stone wall.

As usual this is just a wonderful example of blending a kit into a photo so that you dont know where one starts and the other begins - fantastic

Well, it's all said in the above....the chills, the blending, the emotional feeling. It's all in this page. Love how you framed the photo in the window! This one has to go into my fav's as a reminder of the photos I still have to scrap from a Canadian War Cemetery here.

B.t.w. Didn't see any of your lo's in the Scrappy Awards yet. I bet you're waiting until the last day, so you can knock us all out.

Beautiful photos and so well put together! I have never been here, but I imagine it would give me the same feelings that the Vietnam War memorial did. Very haunting. Fantastic job on the layout!

Oh I find that very sad, to die an unknown . However your page to pay tribute to these men is just awesome!

Lauren said it first - I can't see where one photo ends and another starts - likewise the kit. This is awesome!

Very thought provoking layout! Such a super job combining and blending the photos and the elements. Were you there for Memorial Day or does the cemetery have the flags up all of the time?

My Grandmother may be buried in that cemetery...as well as her father & mother. My Great Grandfather was a pharmacist for the Navy there in Annapolis. I should know these things...shouldn't I? Your wonderful page has spurred me to thinking.

what a heartbreakingly beautiful page. I agree with the several comments regarding the blending, I am still working on that and have not made very good progress yet, but the way it is used here, leaves me speechless. I saw it on your "signature?" line I think it is called when looking at other layouts and had to look more closely.
