I love how you've used the mat as a clipping mask for the photo - adds real impact to the image.
Would I be right in guess you used the Texture overlay from Kim's set? It adds a lovely "something" to the paper which makes it fit in so well with the overall layout.
Love the overall look and feel of it all, and personally, I wouldnt change a thing.

well done! love the unique way you used the overlay and the recolor is great with the winter/snow photo. maybe you could brighten/lighten up the title so it stands out a little more from the background.
