Instead of engaging in the outright FRIVOLITY of years past, we began our day by attending church. Then we came home to enjoy some family time. Even though my girls are now 15 and 13, their eyes shown with the ANTICIPATION of opening gifts. After eating Christmas dinner at a local Village Inn, we came home for more presents. Later, we watched the lights on the Christmas tree SHINE, as we opened gifts with my Mom and Dad. Even though it was a different kind of Christmas, it was great. Sometimes it takes mixing old traditions with new ones to create a truly fantastic memory for the whole family.
