Journaling - The first grade classes split into two groups and each performed a song for the parents. Marshall’s group sang Katy Perry’s Firework. He isn’t really a participator, and had grouched about having to sing and make hand motions. But he does love music and it’s such a catchy song, he must not have been able to resist it. I saw his mouth moving toward the end. The principal and vice principal, Ms. XXXX and Mr. XXXX, handed out a Certificate of Completion and a little trophy to every child, and then they played a video montage of still shots of the kids taken throughout the year. Afterward, Marshall said his friend XXXX wanted a picture with him, so I got their teacher, Ms. XXXX to join the snapshot. It was a fun little ceremony.
