I made this bookmark calendar for DH. The USS Oriskany is the first aircraft carrier in which he served, and now it's due to be scuttled off the Gulf Coast, just south of Pensacola, near where we live, to become an artificial reef. He can't wait to dive on it,
but it's been a longer process than expected. The ship was towed to Texas last year to ride out the 2005 hurricane season, and it's only just now returned to this area. The EPA has finally given the go-ahead to sink the ship and it should be done by June. I'll do
another commemorative piece then.
