This layout features two incredible kits from DSP....

Days of Summer page kit http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.c...oducts_id=1386 by Valerie Brumfield is full of bright colors and fun elements. I fell in love with the papers and had a blast playing around with them! This inspired me to do something "playful" and when I was at a loss for a "cute" picture, my guys came to the rescue and showed me just how cute they could be!!

It just reinforces that this kit works for everything from baby pictures to "guy" pictures in such a fun, happy and upbeat way.

The other kit is Lauren Bavin's Custom Color Chipboard Alphabet http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.c...oducts_id=1783 Using this was such a fun experience!!! I must have tried out every pattern I could think of to fill the alphas (just because I was having so much fun!)...customizing these alphas is fun, easy and the results are terrific! This is a must have for every digital scrapper!!!

(small note...in keeping with the rules of Round 2...no elements from other kits were used. The staples were made by me by modifying a portion of the mesh.)

I also printed this layout and was delighted with the result. The colors are crisp, clear and JUICY!!! (no pun intended!) I couldn't be happier...and I'm also delighted to have this fun picture of my husband and younger son. What a fun combination! Thank you Valerie and Lauren!!!

Journaling reads...
With no babies or small children around, I complained of having no "cute" picture source, My goofy guys decided to show me just how cute they could be.

Your guys are sooo obliging to muck around for you...you are very lucky. It looks like you had fun with this and when the creative bug bites go with it I say!! This is wonderful and you should be proud of yourself...it comes together soo nicely..hard to do sometimes!!

Ha Ha! This is great! I think your guys (and your wonderful layout) may have just won you a spot in the next round. I love the orange color and I love how you cut up the papers into bits. Why didn't I think of that?!

Great layout, I love all the little cut up pieces. Your guys are great sports, I doubt I could get that kind of cooperation from mine. I have the same problem with photos. My kids were brought up before digital cameras when we didn't take a photo of every cute move they made, and with no grandkids yet those cute kid photos are very hard to come by. You have a super layout here good luck in the contest.

Oh I am smiling so big here. This is a sure-fire winner if ever I saw one!! (You should work on short notice all the time) Linda my dear friend, this is WONDERFUL!!!! I am so very proud of you. You are always saying how you hope some of my 'talent' will rub off on you. Well, with this layout you have proved that the talent rub needs to go in the other direction! I needed some of your inspiration where this kit was concerned and I'm blessed to be able to take my inspiration from you. That photo is so much fun. I love, love, love the mosaic chips, your composition and your great title. Hugs for you and welcome home. Can't wait to hear about your weekend. (At least those parts you want to share. )

Blessings,

Linda I agree, we put you on short notice every time! This is beautiful and very creative! Great sports your guys are!

LOL! I was just getting ready to say great work on those staples when I read your text and saw they'd been created from the mesh! Excellent job! I really like the confetti you created! This one is going in my favorites!

Orange you glad you had your camera to take such a cute picture?! It looks like they're having fun and you did too with your LO. I like the confetti like papers scattered along the sides. Great idea. Fantastic LO, well done.
