Page 2 of my Namibia album. I had several photos of the get togethers we had before the holiday, none seemed to match so I made them sepia - which I think in the end made fer more interest. Journaling reads: Morrell and Pauline organised a get together of friends who may be interested in doing a trip, in July, to Namibia. Fortified by Morrell’s wine & Pauline’s delicious desserts we eagerly plotted and planned the route, deciding to include a night in Botswana, at Chobe, in the trip. Several similar fun evening followed…………..

Between whiles, shopping lists included tents, lanterns, storage crates and to-do lists lengthened! Gradually, as June 26th drew closer, shopping was completed, & lists were ticked. Sadly, a few days before departure Morrell broke the bad news that they were going to have to drop out due to his back injury – instead of going on holiday he was to have an op! We were all so disappointed, but bookings had been made, leave taken & the trip had to go on…….
