I have been using this font in almost all of my LO's since receiving it! It's AWESOME for journaling!! Beautiful handwriting that is clear, yet has just the right personal touch!! LOVE IT!!!~Rebecca W  Blushing Bloomsby D- Kim Liddiard I love Blushing Blooms especially since I have so many pieces of the Kim's Flowers set which go beautifully with Blushing Blooms. Like her other flowers, these are delicate and realistic. The silver frame has the perfect feel for the kit and upscales for larger photos without getting too large.~Maureen H  Blushing Blooms Plopper Plusby D- Kim Liddiard The soft tones in Kim Lididard's Blushing Blooms Plopper Plus/Quick Click are beautiful with Caucasian skin tones. The new Plopper Plus is so cool to have both a kit and a quick click in one product and one layout already designed. The plus part is I can rearrange the parts or resize of rotate the photo space which is much more flexible than a plopper.~Maureen H  Love Notes Page Kitby D- Valeri Brumfield This is such a cute kit. The colors and textures are perfect for many themes and the doodle flowers are just so gorgeous. Doodly flower kits are often very feminine and it is nice to have sucha kit with more earthy tones. The note papers and curled frames are classic elements that will work with any kit or layout. I love to buy kits that have these classic, versitle, neutral pieces. They make they investmetn in the kit all the more worthwhile. If you only jave a limited budget for kits, this one woill be a great long term investment.~Sandra S  Midnight Mocha Page Kitby D- Suzanne C. Walker Suzanne is the Queen of clean sharp classic design and this kit may be her best ever. The neural tones are perfect for many subjects, but will work especially well with a BW or sepia toned photo. The kit is perfect for formal elegant LO's (wedding, graduation) but also work will for other informal subjects. This is a perfect kit to play with if you are exporing neutal space LO styles. While the kit by itself is amazingly versitile, the neutral tones allow pieces to coordinate with many many other kits - this kit is as classic as that little black dress in your closet. Every scrapper should have one.~Sandra S  In The Meadow Page Kitby D- Rene Bross No one does overlays, doodles and edges better than Rene and her color choices are always wonderful. I think I own every kit Rene has ever created and use the items over and over again. You have to buy one just to see the full resolution versions of the items - they print beautifully. This kit's colors will work with so many types of photos; I can imagine them used with a walk in the forest, some funky 70's retro photos, a petting zoo or botanical garden visit, fall weddings - almost anything. The paper styles are so varied yet coordinate perfectly. This is a definate must have.~Sandra S  Have Faith Page Kitby D- Amber Gray Baptism, Communion, Confirmation, religious school or just Sunday best, Amber's Have Faith kit has all the elements for your perfect religious themed layout.~Maureen H  Regal Elegance Page Kitby D- Amber Gray The elements in Amber's Regal Elegance kit are so neat. Black and gold are one of my favorite color combinations and this kit does it perfectly. The gold almost looks real and I especially like the gold and black braid and the beautiful overlay edge.~Maureen H  What's Grilling Page Kitby D- Amber Gray If you love those summer brats and burgers on the grill, this flame frame in Amber's What's Grilling kit is perfect for those photos. Lots of other cute summer grill embellishments are included too.~Maureen H  Pyrotechnics Page Kitby D- Lauren Bavin This is the kit to buy if you are sitting on some fireworks or birthday candle photos you need to scrap. The black really sets off vibrant photos and the swirls and stars are incredibly festive. This is a must have kit in my opinion.~Sandra S  Postage Stamp Quick Clickby D- Jamie Rousselle Heyl This is a particularly useful QC - I find white space Lo's very challenging and this QC is just a great example. It will work with many many kits and always look new. I love the way it integrates the title and journaling and also allows for multiple photos. I have so many LO's planned using this kit - a definate must have!~Sandra S  Club Digital October 2007by D- DSP Designers I've been a CLub Digital member now for almost one year. I cannot wait until the biginning of the month to get my new kits - it is like having a birthday every month. I go back time and again to my club dig items - some items I wasn't sure I would use I end up using a lot The fonts are especially nice to get. There is also something kind of fun about receiving items that aren't available to everyone - like a secret club. If you are just getting started scrapping this is a great wau to jump start your collection and also to push your creativity each month. Club Dig is definately worth the investment.~Sandra S  Fantaisie D'Aile Page Kitby D- Kim Liddiard My favorite part of this gorgeous Fantaisie D'Aile kit of Kim's is the elegant photo corners that look stunning right on the photo frame. The scrolly edge overlay adds just a touch of something special to the background too. The frame itself scales up beautifully too.~Maureen H  Fine Broken China Page kitby D- Linda Rechtin It's like fine jewelry or fine China with it's softed painted florals and pretty blue and yellow colors. Fina Broken China by Linda Rechtin is a truly beautiful kit.~Maureen H  A Space to Blend QuickClickby D- Meryl Bartho Meryl's QC is not only a master of design, it is a template that can help you stretch your technique muscles. Using with blended photos and practice your extraction technique, or save the space for journaling - I find in LO's with lots of photos there is usually a detailed story to tell, but often now space to do so. Mery's templates always include great ideas and istructions - and don't forget teh coordinating ploppers if you want life to be easier. Definately do a search for Meryl's templates and quick clicks if you like multi-photo LO's. No one does these better. If you are looking fo ra title page idea for an album try one of her emultiphoto QC's using photos from elsewhere in the album - check out Meryl's own gallery for ideas.~Sandra S  Ain't Too Shabbyby D- Rene Bross I'm always amazed at how a beautiful overlay like this bird one by Rene Bross from her Aint Too Shabby Overlay Set makes such a great presentation. The overlays in this kit are stunning and make any layout look elegant and finished.~Maureen H  May Flowers Page Kitby D- Rene Bross There is a fabulous background paper in Renee's May Flowers Kit that truly captures the spirit of flowers in May and the soft blues and lavenders are reminiscent of spring showers. I used the delicate arbor style frame that was included for my Villa Carlotta Italy layout.~Maureen H  Out of Bounds 2by D- Elizabeth Weaver I love the energy and whimsy of Out of the Frame layouts and Elizabeth's Out of Bounds 2 Kit has the neatest frames, one with leaves and one with very cute spiders. It also includes some great background papers~Maureen H  Funky Fun Groupiesby D- Valeri Brumfield I love pre-made groupies and used 3 of the 4 in the set on my layout. Not only are they named Fun, but they really are fun to use in different ways. I really like that there are two photos frames included as part of the groupies too.~Maureen H  Alchemy Page Kitby D- Irene V. Alexeeva Wow, the spider web and bat wings alone in this fun Alchemy Kit by Irene Alexeeva would be enough to get it for Harry Potter, Halloween, etc. layouts, but it also includes some great funky backgrounds and other elements. It inspired me to do a gothic style layout with my niece who likes spiderman and a layout of my visit to the Catacombs in Rome. The old book and paper alone are worth purchasing the kit.~Maureen H  CanCan Page Kitby D- Irene V. Alexeeva Talk about an elegant kit...Irene's Can Can with it's brown and pink tones & rich photo frames and decorations really defines what an elegant heritage kit is about. Do you hesitate about doing layouts about yourself? Doing 'A Day in My Life' layout is a great way to overcome this reluctance. It is simply a layout that gives a taste of your average, typical day (week-day or week-end) at this moment in time - a cross-section sliced out and preserved for future generations. You can even do one about every family member (a child's day will be different to an adults… and for fun you can look at a day in the life of your animal family members).
Mandy's View: Although I am a journalist and feel strongly about the importance of journaling, I tend to want to journal about anything but myself, I also generally resist doing layouts about myself - what changed my mind was a chapter in Chicken Soup for the Scrapbooker's Soul… about someone wishing her grandmother had left a journal instead of just a few words on the back of a photo. I would have loved to have a layout showing what an average day was like for my Grandmother. My layout will be there in my album for my children or their children one day. They will hopefully compare their day and also keep a record of it for their children or grandchildren.
