Digital Scrapbooking by Sally Beacham and Lori
J. Davis is a book that offers a comprehensive look at using your computer
for digital scrapbooking. It takes you from downloading or scanning your
precious memories all the way to completing pages that are sure to impress
your family and friends. This book is written for users of several
different photo manipulation software programs, and is clear enough to be
used by the beginner as well as the more experienced user. There is a
great amount of technical information imparted in plain English. Sally and
Lori begin with why and how you should scrapbook. They follow with digital
photo fundamentals. The rest of the book is dedicated to completing a
scrapbook page and finally printing or sharing your new creation. The book
is accompanied by a CD which includes a ton of resources for new and
experienced scrapbookers which is well worth more than the price of the

What do you want for Christmas? To take new classes at DSU! Because the Holidays will be just around the corner, DSU will be having some special 2-week classes to get you ready for Christmas. Registration will open for the December term about mid-November, so watch for it! Classes are $15 for the 2 weeks and you can sign up in the DSP store.

DSU193 – Better Holiday Journaling
DSU195 – Introduction to Creating WordArt
DSU217 - A Christmas Story in Photoshop
In this 2 week class we will make a complete Christmas themed layout including background paper, ornaments and page elements. This class is suitable for the more experienced photoshop. You must have taken either DSU 110 or DSU 211 or have similar experience. All Brushes, Custom shapes, textures and Styles will be provided so that you will make a full elegant christmas page kit in just 2 weeks.And make sure and check out our classes page for a complete list of classes being offered.
