Letter from Team Digital

It's June! It's unbelievable to me to think that we are almost halfway through 2005 already! Time sure does fly when you're having fun...or when you're so busy with end-of-the-year activities at school, Little League baseball games, making summer plans, taking the kids to the pool....wow!!!! I need extra hours in my days!

June is for celebrating FATHERS. Whether your father is still living, or has passed away, I'm sure we all have a special memory about him. I am fortunate to still have my

dad. I have a very close family, and I feel incredibly blessed by that. My Dad never missed a sporting event, band or chorus concert, school play, or church program that my sister and I were involved in growing up unless he was ill or had to work. He made a point to support us in everything that we did (my mom did, too, but I'm just talking about my dad this month ;) And nothing has changed. Now he is doing the same with our children. Soccer games, Little League, school events...you name it, he's there if it's at all possible. I am so thankful for my dad.

When speaking about Father's Day, I can't forget another very special dad. My husband is a wonderful father. He works hard for our family, but still has plenty of time to play with his boys when he gets home from work. No matter how tired he is, he makes time to go outside and help them ride their bikes, throw a baseball back and forth, play tag, or even just go for a walk. I am so thankful for the wonderful husband and father he's become.

What about you? Do you have a special man in your life that you'd like to celebrate this Father's Day? Why not share him with all of us and post a layout telling us why he's so important to you! Let's fill up our gallery with all those wonderful men out there!

This month we focus on Mandy Tregaskis.

A typical “pressed for time” mom, I had started paper scrapping and became increasing frustrated with the time it took to do layouts (not to mention the drawers full of papers and elements that I bought that never quite worked).  This meant that I was getting very few pages done, and not capturing all the every-day aspects of my growing children’s lives that I really wanted to capture.  Digital scrap booking, and DSP with their fantastic kits, really came to my rescue.

I have been digi-scrapping addict for just over 9 months - love it!   I believe that digi-scrapping is the way of the future, and even the die-hard paper scrappers will catch on once they start playing, which they will – even if they initially just to fix and repair photos. Once they see that they can ‘still’ use a special photo that would have been ‘unusable’ in a paper layout, they will give a graphic layout a try, and I believe they will be hooked!

I don’t stick to any particular style. Sometimes I see a kit and believe its perfect for a photograph I have, sometimes I have the photo(s) and look around for a kit.  The combination of photo and kit then determine the style for me.  But what fun looking at the kits in the store and planning!  What a wonderful addiction!!!

DSP is proud to bring you the FIRST DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING CONVENTION!
