The Spotlight Interview
DSP - How long have you been scrapping?
Carla - I have been digital scrapping since December 2005.
DSP - What do you like best about digital scrapbooking?
Carla - I love the versatility of digital scrapping. If I don't like what I have created, I can delete it and
completely start over if I wish to. I also like that I am not limited to how many times I can use the
same photo and, of course, there is the fact that there is no glue, paper and mess to clean up afterwards!
DSP - What drew you to this site?
Carla - When I first discovered digital, I was looking for a site where I could learn. DSP was the first
place that I came on that journey and I joined in January 2006. DSP has the BEST designers, is the
best Family community and has become my home. The people here are my family.
DSP - Do you have a favorite challenge here at DSP?
Carla - I love all of the challenges here but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be Lauren's "Gimme a Copy".
I love templates and QCs and that she makes the QCs for this challenge using member layouts is awesome.
It's wonderful recognition for a job well done!
DSP - Do you ever experience "scrappers block", and if so how do you overcome it?
Carla - Oh my... all of the time! When I do, I head for the DET gallery and drool over the
awesomeness of the layouts there. I always end up with a layout to lift.
DSP - What is your favorite thing to scrap about?
Carla - My Grandchildren, my cats and the dog. I also create a lot of layouts with photos of the flowers around the house.
DSP - If you were a scrapbook element, what would you be?
Carla - LOL! A PAPER! You can do anything with one piece of paper... shapes, edges, frames, mats,
ribbons, borders, journaling mats... so many things that one piece of paper can become.
DSP - What part of the site do you spend the most time in, other than your gallery?
Carla - That's easy... the STORE!
DSP - What other hobbies or activities do you enjoy other than scrapping?
Carla - I take a lot of pictures and I have a new camera so I am really into reading up on the different things that
I can do with it and trying to learn. Other than that, I love to read and usually have my kindle everywhere I go.
DSP - Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Carla - Over the past few years, I have strolled through some of the other scrapbook sites on the
web and I always come home to DSP There is just NO BETTER PLACE to be than right here with family.
This community is the biggest, the most helpful and the most supportive. I Love you guys!!
