Tutorial: Customizable Chipboard Alpha Fun

The hardest decision you will make is which Chipboard alpha to use. I suggest you purchase all 3 – because you will be using them over and over again!!!

You can purchase these amazingly versatile Chipboard Alphas and numbers from the DSP store.

Open up your chipboard alpha of choice. File>Open>Browse to where you have Chipboard Alphas saved.

On the Stack, click your alpha/number.
If you can’t see the stack click view>stack
On the toolbar, click the Magic Wand Tool Button
On the alpha click on the area you wish to select (in our case the white area)



If you can’t see the options palette, click the Selection button on the workspace toolbar.

Deselect the Contiguous option
Choose a tolerance level of 20.

Effects>Fill with texture or color

To fill with a solid color.
Click a solid color OR more color choices to fill with solid color.

To fill with gradient:
Click Color gradient. OR Custom two color gradient

To fill with background paper:
Picture>If the picture (background paper) you wish to use is in the files palette, double click it.
If it’s not in the files palette you can open a picture (background paper) by browsing to where you have the files stored.

Move or resize the pattern of your fill paper by clicking and dragging within the alpha

Click done when finished.
