Tutorial: CHANGING HUES IN PHOTOSHOP

By Lauren Bavin

You have lots of wonderful backgrounds and elements saved on your computer, or you have seen a great page kit but its not quite the right colour to go with your photo - what to do? - well its easy - here is one way you can alter any image to suit you own layout

1 Open the image you wish to change (it pays to have your photo open at the same time so you can judge the colours better) or if you already have it in your layout make sure that layer that it is in is the active layer.

Here I am going to change the colour of an element from pink to blue so it will suit a baby boy layout
With your element image open go to the tool bar and select Image- Adjustments- Hue/Saturation

Now adjust the sliders- play with the hue and saturation sliders until you find the right shade

Well wasnt that simple - now save your new image under a different name if you wish to keep it for future use -
