Tutorial: Animated Blinkies in PSP

Animated Blinkies in Paint Shop Pro & Animation Shop:

For purposes of this tutorial, I have provided templates to make the process easier. You can study these templates to make your own in different sizes if you like. This template will be in 3 layers, the background, and two layers of the marquee for the "blink".

Turn off the view of layers 2 and 3.

Add your images and text that will remain static to the background layer

Show layer 2. Save copy as..."blinkie_1.jpg" , Turn off layer 2 and show layer 3. Save copy as... "blinkie_2.jpg. Now you will have two images as shown below

Now open animation shop. I use the animation wizard, just to keep it simple. Use the settings listed below.

1. Same size as first image, NEXT
2. Opaque, NEXT
3a. Upper left corner of frame
3b. with the canvas color, NEXT
4a. Yes, repeat animation indefinately.
4b. 10, NEXT
5. Add images, NEXT
6. Finish & Save file

Now you have a blinkie!!
