Tutorial: Scaling Photos to your Layout in PSP

It's all too easy to change the scale of a photo accidentally, when moving it from your files into your layout. BUT, it's a simple trick to avoid doing so.

In this example, I've imported my photo onto my background, but to make room for other elements and photos, I need it to be smaller. Activate the "grabber squares" by clicking on the Deform Tool.

When you grab a square, even the corner ones, and change the size, it's easy to skew the photo thusly, and I see this on a lot of layouts where I don't think it is intended (effect amplified here):

The simple trick is to remember to hold the right mouse button down and grab a CORNER square only, any corner square. HOLD the right mouse button down as long as you are dragging the size larger or smaller. This will keep the photo (or any object) in the same scale it started as.
