Signature lines can be a fun place to express your creativity,
inform others about events, show your latest layout, and so much
more! To add a signature to your posts here at DSP, in the Forums,
click on My Account to access your account info and control panel.
You must be logged in.

(First click on "Edit Options," in the left menu, then
at the very bottom of the page, under "Miscellaneous Options,"
make sure the Message Editor Interface is set to "Standard
Editor - Extra formatting controls." If it's set to "Basic
Editor--a simple text box," you will not see the same window
as in this tutorial.)
Then click on Edit Signature in the left menu.
You will get the blank signature box waiting for your text, links,
or images.
Enter your text and format it using the icons above the box. Hold
your mouse over each symbol to see what they do. They are bold,
italic, underline, left, centered, or right justified text. Indented
text, bulleted list, image, hyperlink, email link, code, php, quote.
Type your text then highlight your words or sentence to format then
click on one of the symbols. This will add tags around it that will
make it bold, italic, etc. You can also click on any of the smilies
to insert those into your text.
To put a graphic in your signature, click on the
photo symbol.

Then insert your text, a link to a small image uploaded on the
web somewhere, either DSP or your own site.

When you click OK, your link will have the proper image tags around
it.

Click on Preview Signature to see if you have it the way you want
it.

Then your signature will show exactly how it will appear in the
DSP forums.

To put a link in your signature, click on the
hyperlink symbol (world with a link).

Then type your word or phrase that you want to be linked to a page
on the internet.

Then enter your link including the http:// part.

When you click OK, the proper tags will be included.

Click on Preview Signature to see how it looks.

If everything looks good, then click Save Signature and the signature
under all of your posts in the forums will change to your new signature.

To get an image linked to another page like the power scrapping
below, enter the link to the page, then the link to the actual image
with the following tags.
Example:

Enter this:
[URL=http://LINK TO PAGE][IMG]http://LINK TO IMAGE[/IMG][/URL]
Please keep your signature lines small so they don't distract
from the forum posts. And be considerate of those on slow dialup
connections and the terms of use including no links to commercial
scrapping sites. Thanks and now have fun! |
